Description
The illustration depicts a bowl of ramen rendered as open water. A gondolier poles a slender boat across the broth, a passenger seated aft; a bisected egg stands in for the moon, a sheet of nori for a sail, and noodles coil like current beneath the hull.
A vessel intended for a canal has been launched within a vessel intended for soup. Craft and broth are of irreconcilable proportion. The Office records one container improperly afloat inside another and files the voyage as unnavigable.
